Vernon J. Menard III
Chief Navigator
Vernon is an international entrepreneur and a global citizen. Born in Washington, DC, he has lived in the USA, Peru, Mexico, Haiti, France and Spain, and has done business around the world. He founded TravelingBrand after building the global brand analysis division of Choice Translating, a linguistics company he owns with his wife Michelle. Previously, he co-founded SATRA and Rack Technologies, both of which are data communications products manufacturers and exporters, and launched the international department of Leviton Manufacturing Company’s Telcom Unit. Always hungry to learn, Vernon devours information and asks lots of questions. He has a B.A. in international studies, economics, and Spanish from the University of St. Thomas, and completed the EO Entrepreneurial Masters Program at MIT. Passionate about making a positive difference in the world, Vernon supports international poverty-reduction projects focusing on education of girls and micro-finance.
Michelle Menard
Navigator
Having parents from France and Panama, Michelle learned early on to navigate other languages, cultures, and countries. She launched her first company, Choice Translating, in 1995 and later co-founded TravelingBrand with her husband Vernon Menard. Michelle holds a B.S.B.A. in international business and a B.A. in French from UNC Charlotte. The U.S. Small Business Administration named her North Carolina Young Entrepreneur of the Year, and she received the Charlotte Business Journal’s “Women in Business” achievement award. Michelle was also recognized as one of the “50 Most Influential Women” by The Mecklenburg Times. Michelle has been an active member and leader of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization since 2002.
Chantal Luhr
Managing Director
Chantal grew up speaking French and English with her multicultural family in the US and abroad. Chantal is a UNC Charlotte alumnus with a BSBA degree in Management. She joined TravelingBrand after 27 years in the insurance industry and 23 years of leadership experience, most recently leading a team of 200 in Dallas, Texas. Chantal launched start-ups in the USA and Ireland, always emphasizing employee engagement and business process design. Chantal enjoys traveling, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family, fur babies, and friends.
Jenna Fitton
Account Manager
Born and educated in the U.K., Jenna began her journey into the linguistics industry at a large translation agency in Europe. In 2004 Jenna moved to Montréal, Canada, to continue her career as a Localization Project Manager, learn French, and broaden her experience in the language arena. During her 25+ year career in the linguistics industry she has led teams on complex and technical localization projects, managing software, documentation, e-learning, websites, multimedia, and marketing projects ensuring quality at every stage of the project cycle. Her experience spans a wide spectrum of industries. Jenna currently lives in England.
Meghan Cooper
Senior Project Manager
Meghan holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in linguistics. In her role as senior project manager at TravelingBrand, she oversees production from start to finish on linguistic and cultural validation projects. In her spare time, Meghan enjoys getting down and dirty (literally) doing yard work at home. Meghan lives in North Carolina, USA.
Yuliia Tkachuk
Administrative Coordinator
A native of Ukraine, Yuliia has lived, worked and studied throughout Europe. She has a master’s degree in international economics and is fluent in English, Ukrainian and Russian. She is an expert in language and culture, logistics and project management, with experience supporting many industries and the military. At TravelingBrand, Yuliia takes on strategic projects. She lives in Manitoba, Canada where, in the winter, it is VERY cold with lots of snow!
Amber Camp
Linguistics Quality Control
Amber Camp has a master’s degree in linguistics (She finishes her PhD in 2024) and many years of research, analysis, and teaching experience. She is an expert in linguistic services quality assurance and control. Amber is passionate about improving access to opportunities for diverse communities and to enrich programs involving language and cultural education. Amber is multilingual and has lived 11 years in Italy and Japan.
